Did anyone notice that the "Live stream" before the President showed up was NOT what was actually happening? Who was clapping when he was coming out? The live stream was a pre-recording that was labeled "live". Notice that when they cut to the President he just APPEARS at the podium. Happens shortly after the 45 minute mark.

Edit: The live stream BEFORE the President came out.

Consider moving to the Brave browser. It's Chromium based.

Google works well because it's engine has learned what you want in results. Privacy focused search engines may never be as good (for a while at least) as invasive search engines. If DDG had the user base that google has now, I bet they'd be better. I use DDG for everything and only use google for work related things as a last resort (a requirement at the moment). But never for personal searches.

Every little bit helps!

Schools and other services (if any) funded through property tax should be funded differently. Say a local sales tax for example. It would provide more visibility to residents in the area of their tax burden. People would know that living in city XYZ has a higher sales tax to fund their high end schools and services. People also have the choice of living elsewhere with lower taxes if they choose.

Private Property, when fully owned, should belong to the owners permanently. Taxing it means you don't own it. Same with car registrations. I believe the money is needed (raised by car registration), but when the car is my property you cant tax it. What's next? Taxing the number of TV's in our house similar to how the UK does? Taxing refrigerators? How about taxing the number of bedrooms in a house? Computers?

Additionally, with income tax - Who owns my labor? Me or the government? If it's my labor, you can't tax it. So I guess the government owns my labor... What about a tax on my thoughts or my body? Where does it end?

It's an extra $600 per week. I had to lay off a few of my team and they now make more on unemployment that we were paying them. For the record, they were making $15/hour. The $600 a week is basically a free $15/hour job on top of unemployment benefits.

The good news is they're being smart about it. They're paying off debt and establishing saving accounts while waiting for the market to correct so they can go back to work. I'm proud of them keeping themselves focused and making good choices during all of this. They're good people. I miss the daily banter we had...
