Vote buying isn’t the only reason for secret ballots to exist. They also prevent social pressure or fear of political reprisal from influencing who you vote for. Since you mention North Korea, would you like Kim Jong-Un to know that you didn’t vote for him if you were a North Korean citizen? Similarly, here in the US, an open ballot could discourage a lot of Trump supporters in blue areas from voting for him because of the cancel culture mob. What we need to get rid of voter fraud is to have a federal voter ID law, a ban on mail-in voting except in rare situations, and a ban on electronic voting machines.

You can read the full leaked report here. Most articles are only showing the part with the recount results, but you can see in the full report at the bottom (the last one with 91 pages) that CyberNinjas found ~50,000 discrepancies including 23,344 mail-in ballots from invalid addresses, 10,342 voters who voted in multiple counties, and 9,041 voters who returned multiple mail-in ballots. As a reminder, Biden officially won the state by only 10,457 votes.

I don’t see how moderation policies for c/TheDonald affect the popularity of other subs that move here. Any community that tries to move to a new website is inevitably going to lose a very large portion of its userbase, but communities.win is much more active than it was a few months ago thanks to c/NoNewNormal and c/ConsumeProduct..

Polling was 50/50 a month ago. Recent polling has been much more pro-Newsom. The close polls in August probably scared a lot of Dems back in line, and the voter fraud pushed the No vote above 60%.

You can vote for a governor even if you vote no. The Democrats might have been telling their people not to vote on a governor, but not everyone’s going to listen.

"Let's be gracious in defeat."

What utter bullshit. Almost makes me glad Elder didn't get elected.

That’s not at all what QAnon is about. QAnon is believing that a random guy on an Internet message board has information about a secret plan by President Trump to overthrow the entire deep state and continuing to believe him even after every prediction he has made has failed to come true. You can be a patriot without latching onto such a ridiculous conspiracy theory.

“Q researchers”? I mean, I don’t like people who trash QAnon believers at every opportunity either, but come on man. Q “researchers” insisted for a good few weeks that Joe Biden was ruling from a Hollywood studio.

So? The law bans websites with over 50 million users from suppressing political views. We don’t have 50 million users, and we aren’t linked with Facebook even if a Facebook user links to us. Facebook, on the other hand, would be censoring political views if they ban links to our website.

This post is about them sending warships to American territorial waters, not a fight in their sphere.

Hey, u/War_Hamster. I received a brochure from the recall campaign saying "Gavin Newsom doesn't want you to vote. Mail in your ballot today!" I think I read somewhere that you're part of the recall campaign. Do you know why they're promoting vote-by-mail?

Anyone know why all these elections across multiple states for different positions are all happening on the same day?

Having 5 permanent stickies would be quite inconvenient. Perhaps they should be condensed into one post?

But do we have someone like Bolsonaro here in the US who has been through that kind of intense high-stakes politics? Most of our politicians are Ivy League graduates who would never risk their cushy jobs and status quo where all they have to do is give a few speeches for a potential revolution.

He has the support of the people, but he’s stated that the Supreme Court (which runs elections in Brazil) could rig the results, in which case he will not accept those results.

Difference is Bolsonaro got a huge head start. His next election is still over a year away.
