Seriously. What other race of people not only gave freedom to their slaves but also fought their own kin to free their slaves as well? What other people fought to give minorities an equal opportunity and a seat at the table in a society built by their own ancestors? What other race would even give others a leg up in life for supposed “historical inequities”? And yet what do they get for all this generosity? They’re called bigots, racists, and privileged. They’re told to renounce their own race and culture as intrinsically evil. They’re told to step aside at all levels of society as reparation for their “crimes”.
As a minority living in America, it makes me furious to watch this occur. It’s the greatest social injustice happening in our country, yet it’s the only one that no one is fighting against.
