I had a roommate that had a dealers license. He wasn't very active at the time, but he'd buy and sell hard to get guns for clients from time to time. He had purchased a historic rife for a collector. I had just purchased a .45 a few days before.
Both of us were avid walkers so we walked to the gun range a few miles away to try things out. Our arms were plainly visible. No one gave us any notice. On the way back home,we past a movie theater that was playing a movie we wanted to see.
We bought our tickets, walked in, and asked the manager to store our hardware in the safe. He did so. We watched the movie and picked up our weapons on the way out. No fear, no drama, just a civilized society.
Arizona used to be sane. Tucson is different. It is like a little colony of New Mexico; hard core leftist including law enforcement. Now days, with all of the retirees from Michigan, Wisconsin, etc. at least Phoenix has slide into the mud. The rest of Arizona is still sane.
Many years ago, in Tucson, Giffords was shot by a nut job that shouldn't have had a gun to begin with. The left was thrilled. The now had a poster child and spokesman for their insane agenda. She has never been able to be as effective as the commies hoped.

As for this particular attempt, this would be trivial to identify and filter. Automating that filtering is easy with modern server room hardware, hardware that is becoming ubiquitous. Why memes are difficult is because interpretation requires a large amount of out of band information.
