This Utah Compact is just communist woke made-up nonsense designed to make people feel like they and their ancestors are guilty of some imagined on-going institutional system of discrimination. When in fact minorities, because of preferences in school admission and corporate hiring practices, now have way more opportunity to succeed than anybody else, except the filthy rich of course. This is communist "equity" in action. I can't believe very many of the signers actually truly believes this shit. They sign to "virtue signal" and because their organization already has some crap program (a committee or something) that they've established to try to stay ahead of the woke curve and avoid having to play catch up after getting bad press.
This is pure bullshit. The NIH and Fauci were researching "gain of function" of bat corona virus before it was outlawed in the US. They then moved it to Wuhan and Fauci funded the research there. They managed to create a virus that caused a respiratory disease for which there was a small but vulnerable population, which is easily treated with various drugs. The rest has been agenda-driven hype.
Look at these stupid idiots all wearing masks outdoors. Obviously clueless about virus transmission and the fact that virus transmission is virtually non-existent when outdoors. You'd think they must be wearing the masks for some other purpose....
JP has said start by cleaning your bedroom. Organize your day by completing micro-tasks which actually accomplish something tangible. Occupy yourself up by focusing on each accomplishment in your day. Gradually over time gain more control over your well being by taking on more and more responsibility for your life, and in your life, and for and in the lives of your loved ones and the people in your life. Simple and effective advice.
It's about belief. Many people become convinced of an opinion and will hold that opinion until death, right or wrong. That's not bad. It's human nature. But some of those people are offended that you don't believe the same thing that they do. They are the confrontational ones. They are really quite rare but they can make a loud scene which discourages the more flexible-minded to make a strong stand against them. Many people are very uncomfortable in a spotlight, and don't want confrontation and want to go along to get along. Knowing this fact of nature, I haven't worn, and I don't wear a mask anywhere and no-one says anything. I'm in the bluest of blue states in the northeast.
There's never been a "law" preventing the feds from "resettling" immigrants anywhere in the country or requiring that the states agree first to a resettlement. By signing this executive order Biden is changing the instructions to federal agencies about how they can operate. That will probably result in more "dumping of immigrants". It would take a change in immigration law to put real changes in place so that these policies couldn't be changed every four years.
She has a good lawsuit on her hands if she decides to file it. Courts have found that restaurants are similar to common carriers (like airlines and hotels) and must take all customers as long as they are not overtly disruptive in some way, i.e. like smelling to high heaven, or drunk and disorderly, or physically or verbally abusive. Where you may work (as long as your work is legal) or your politics are not exceptions to the common carrier doctrine in civil law.
