Charity doesn't mean the same thing to Muslims as it does to us. For us, charity means giving to those in need. For Muslims, charity is giving from and to fellow Muslims. Nowhere in the Koran or ahadith does money ever flow from Muslims to non-Muslims. In fact, it's an insult to Allah for a Muslim to give to non-believers what Allah gave to him (Koran 16:71).
Muslims are told that we non-believers are sub-human and they're to be ruthless towards us (Koran 8:55, 98:6, 28:86, 48:29). Sharia (Islamic law) states that giving zakat, or alms, to a non-believer is not allowed (Umdat as-Salik wa 'Uddat an-Nasik, h8.24). To give charity to disbelievers is considered a waste since we're are going to Muslim hell anyway (Koran 66:9, 9:73, 56:92-94, 4:56, 40:71-72, 22:19-22).
The highest deed for a Muslim is fighting in the cause of Allah, not charitable acts. Sahih Muslim 1:153

Jihad proceeds in three stages. Each stage is dependent on the status of Muslims in the society in which they live. The first stage is stealth jihad. When Muslims are outnumbered and cannot win any kind of physical confrontation with non-Muslims, they are commanded to call for "peace" and "tolerance."
When Mohammed was at Mecca, he preached tolerance. However, according to Muslim sources (At-Tabari, Vol. VI, pg. 95), while Mohammed was preaching tolerance publicly, he was privately raising an army to make war against people who were not attacking him at all.
Tell non-believers one thing, and do something completely different in private: this duplicity is what Muslims are taught to emulate because it is what Mohammed did.
There are several different forms of lying that are sacred to Muslims. Taqiyya is saying something that isn't true as it relates to the Muslim identity. This is a Shiite term. The Sunni counterpart is muda'rat. Kitman is lying by omission. Tawriya is intentionally creating a false impression. Muruna is "blending in" by setting aside some practices of Islam or Sharia in order to advance others.

Muslims are forbidden from befriending non-Muslims - unless it furthers Islam's agenda. Koran 3:28 tells them to not be friends with non-Muslims, unless they're outnumbered by a stronger adversary. Then a Muslims may pretend to be friendly. This is the current status of Muslims in the U.S. Remember each stage of jihad depends on the status of Muslims in the society in which they live.
