Literally just commented on this. My own family has seen the results of generations of varying assault. This one uncle abused all his kids, 3 of 4 boys are gay. One isn't family by blood but was adopted as an infant
Got a few cousins, who were all abused, in different ways. One of said cousins was actually adopted, yet 3 of 4 boys are gay. All grew up chopping wood and working hard.
My own dad was actually taken by his oldest sister, bc of the abuse in the family. He may have been sexually assaulted, but we will never know, bc he practically forced himself to die, after yrs of depression. It's a messed up situation
