America is a country built by immigrants, it's unlike any other country in the world. My mother's family came here in the 19th century and my father and his family came to this country in the early 1980s. But immigration was different back then. This country was a melting pot. Immigrants loved our country and our constitution and they assimilated.
Now it's very different story, immigrants from all over the world come to our country to find a better life but reject the very ideals that make this country great. Things like the first and second amendments, and the free-market economy are taken for granted by the left and outright rejected by a significant portion of immigrants, legal or otherwise.
Now I am all for immigration (it's the only reason I even exist), but there has to be a change in the system so that people who want to become citizens accept our values and take pride in the constitution. If you do not agree with our core values then you do not get to become an American.
It's obvious why the left is in favor of unrestricted immigration; with enough time and numbers, they will be able to irreversibly change our culture and vote away everything that makes this country great!
Dear President Trump,
I am writing to you because I am afraid for the future of our great nation and I believe your re-election is our last chance to reverse the worrying and rapid growth of anti-American sentiments.
I am a college student graduating next year and I know that I will have to hide my beliefs if I want to be able to hold down a job. I have seen Marxism spread like wildfire in our culture and I am starting to see it spread to companies all across America. I am afraid that my future children and their children will grow up in a world where all that is good about America has been destroyed and all the remains is a shell of a once great nation.
Progressives have moved to the left faster than I ever thought possible. If in January, you told me that the left would be fighting to defund the police and to destroy Mount Rushmore, I would have simply laughed it off. How is this happening? We now know without a shadow of a doubt that the left hates America. Some even claim that Independence Day is a ‘white supremacist holiday’. They hate our founding fathers, they hate our Constitution, they hate our history, they hate everything we stand for and they are not Americans.
For 30 years, Conservatives have been decimated by liberals. Conservatives failed on fiscal policy, monetary policy, social policy, educational policy, etc. And all the while the country moved farther and farther left. Yes, we won elections but most of those candidates were not real conservatives; they had no teeth. Before you came along, our last victory was way back in the 1980s when Ronald Reagan put the final nail in the coffin of the USSR. Marxism was defeated on the world Stage, but it remains alive and well at home. Just look at BLM, our universities, our entertainment industry, our big tech companies, the list goes on. We lost because while the left tells people what they want to hear, all we can say is “well you should have worked harder” or “well how are we going to pay for that”. Yeah, yeah, we know socialism sucks but that is not a winning message.
This all changed in 2016. You won because you offered a true conservative message with an actual solution. You ushered in a new era of American conservatism that puts America first and families first. Bring back the middle class by cracking down on unfair trade deals and unrestricted immigration (by the way, I am the son of an immigrant who actually assimilated). Take down the establishment. Bring back true conservatism. These are the issues that won the election. With your leadership, conservatives have a real shot at taking back our country.
This is why the left despises you; you weren’t supposed to win. This wasn’t part of the plan. I urge you to trust your instincts and remember what that winning message is. The American way of life is at stake, and that is something worth fighting for.
