imagine being a officer over 20 years... busting your ass day in and day off then you fuck up and kill someone with your pistol when you meant to use a taser...she ruined her career in less than 10 seconds...unbelievable... countless hours of training, studying for career advancement, 1000s of hours of being a officer on duty, volunteering for god knows how many hours... then 1 traffic stop... you pull your gun instead of your tazer but accident and its all wiped out....
Yeah lying about anything in my job is pretty serious.... involving clearance issues. If I knowingly lied about anything it may come to bite me in the ass.
I just told her I wasn't vaccinated...that I wasn't opposed to vaccines just more cautious...and that I was planning on the J&J vaccine nearby at a pharmacy "within the next month"...
I'm also not comfortable that the vaccine companies are immune from liability for adverse side effects. I have a bad history with shots and prefer not to get them. I passed and had a seizure last flu shot I got over a decade ago.
My job isn't forcing us to take it but they are heavily pushing it... without saying much I work in a gov contractor with the DOE.... employees at my site have priority to get the vaccine now and can even get it at work.... im still not doing it... fuck that.
politicizing the vaccine has led to these beliefs... vaccines are important for public health... that said i am not in favor of mandatory vaccines or vaccine cards... but getting vaccines should be encouraged and transparency to the public should be at the forefront of it as well.
because "muh systemic racism" gives them a pass to gather and do whatever they want
