I see both sides. Growing up in Detroit, I seen my prototype for it: Fucking dead beats. Once I left that “venue”, I seen more of the evil leverage side of it. Divorce courts, “friend of the court”, social workers, child services. Systems bent to evil. I still have cognitive dissonances on these systems, because I can see why they exist, but I see how they are abused through corruption. They are no longer useful to society in their current forms. Just the tip of the iceberg on corrupt systems I am afraid.
This. It’s cultural differences/incompatibilities. Some cultures are more petty and violent than others. Different groupings of people have different priorities, and get mad at others who have different priorities instead of changing their own to match what they covet. Then those very cultures refuse to communicate and claim victimhood status, to exploit favor. Creating dependency while shielding them from criticism as “hate speech”, so the cycle continues at the detriment of EVERYONE.
Not to be the anti-joke police, but sadly people who are in arrears in child support are usually behind a lot more than $1400. The fact that the government needs to intervene in someone to take care of their kids is a symptom of a failed society, among the myriad of symptoms currently plaguing this country.
