In San Diego there are a lot of these leftists. A majority of the city council is leftist even though the mayor is a Republican (not even a conservative one). We had a couple of nights of rioting and that was basically it. Why? The local population refuses to put up with that garbage and a majority leftist city council voted to increase law enforcement funding.
San Diego council members at least thought of the other 99% of the population that wasn’t rioting. Democrat run metros are pandering to a different 1%.

In a less civilized country the city council would have to worry about the police showing up to a council meeting and shooting everyone in attendance.
