I dont think so. Den’s had a metal flap that could be swung up and locked shut to prevent any other ballots being dropped in. If they were to be destroyed, the bag should be labeled with “voided ballots” or some other signage to prevent people from assuming impropriety.

That is sketchy as fuck. We had to be at the drop off place 15 min before polls closed to pre- empty the box into the designated and marked cans, to collect any late coming votes, then lock up the drop box so no more could be cast. Every drop off location was manned and locked at 7. The fact that this occurred the day after the election is enough cause to call for invalidation.

Did that occur in Denver? I can only speak to what I know. Each state and county can do it a bit different.
So part of my job with the Denver Election Division was picking up those ballots from the drop boxes. They are under 24/7 video surveillance. Once the boxes are opened, they are transferred to a metal container which are locked, sealed, and a log for chain of custody is created. They are driven back by a team of two people (99%men because boxes are heavy) and they have to be of differing parties. Then the boxes are dropped off to the HQ to be counted.
