The Capitol Police barricaded the door and had Congressmen (uhhmmm, Sorry, I mean Congress People) behind them. This was on video. A giant mob of a million+ people began storming the building. They are in the middle of the Congressmen and a mob. From their perspective, it's their duty to protect the Congressmen at all costs. They can't just say "oh, they are mostly peaceful, we'll just let them in". They stood their ground and decided to protect the Congressmen. No one knows what would have happened if the mob got in there with Nancy and Co. They could have stripped her down and drug her into the street or worse. These things aren't out of the question, and the Capitol police knew this. They had a tough decision and made a choice. It's unfortunate, but it is so. There is merit in arguing about a double standard from the left and right mobs, but that doesn't mean anything to the Capitol Police. They've also never faced a mob like this.
