Because it's fucking irrelevant. Overdosing on an opiate is not consistent with how Floyd was acting, behaving, and his state at the time of death. If you die from an opiate overdose you will be damn near comatose and unable to move, speak or breathe. He was none of those things. I'm not guessing at the cause of death, but I guarantee you it was a multitude of things in concert, including the drugs, but not at all just because he took Fentanyl.
And that's a long-winded fucking answer that's more close to the truth than just saying a knee to the neck or too much Fentanyl killed him.
