What are you doing about it, pedo Jim? Absolutely nothing, just like the rest of your spineless colleagues. It's always talk talk talk, no action.

Nice, but for anyone else switching over, don't be fooled into thinking that Republican candidates are on your side. They talk like they are, but then get into office and become spineless or get corrupted by big money. And as she found out, Democrats don't care about her either.

Trump is the only one in Washington who gives a shit about us, and that's why he encounters so much resistance from both sides. He wants to dismantle the system. Sadly, the majority of our politicians are slaves to money when they should be servants of the people who elected them.

That said, given the choice between a liberal candidate and conservative candidate, vote for the conservative.

That's badass - can you share some info on your solar setup?

3
DonutDog 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yep. Cancel culture forces crazies to screech about companies and people that they previously didn't care about. Must be exhausting to care about so many companies and people just because they dared to share a first-amendment protected opinion that they happen to disagree with.

I bet that 98% of the people screeching to boycott Goya didn't even buy Goya in the first place.

California's urban homelessness problem has no bounds. I travel to LA a few times a year on business, and I swear, every time I go there, it seems to get worse.

It's a damn shame. I guess everyone has dreams of beach prosperity, but statistically, many who move there will fail. And you see homeless people of all races, all ages. I have no idea how to solve this, but I can assure you that more homeless shelters in the heart of the city, as some crazy leftists are screeching for, is not the answer. The demand for LA living far outpaces the supply. I don't know, maybe shelters with training programs further away from the city, where land is more plentiful and the cost of living is cheaper, paired with free or reduced cost bus tickets for the homeless? It won't get the crazy druggies out of there, but it might help otherwise able-bodied and able-minded people who are down on their luck.

I agree with you on all counts. I suppose what I'm saying is that it's a dangerous game for a politician to play to assume that they've got a particular demographic in the bag. Trump has done plenty for black Americans... lowered unemployment, lowered poverty rate, police accountability EO... what has Biden done? Absolutely nothing, he just has vague plans that he can't even verbalize (or remember). He just assumes he has the black vote just by virtue of who he is.

And sure, most of them will follow history and vote for Biden against their best interests. But not all of them. If Trump has done enough to convince just 2-3% of that electorate to vote for him, that could mean the difference between winning a county and losing it. If that happens in enough counties, it could potentially swing the state.

Meh, another ten years and he'll start voting conservative again. Roberts is a weak-minded panderer who just wants everyone to like him; but instead, everyone will end up hating him because he can't take a strong stand on anything.

DonutDog 2 points ago +2 / -0

it's always been silly how people say that "it can't be done, they will always vote blue"

I hate this mindset too - one, it's stupid to assume that opinions can't be changed - I have no doubt that there are dozens if not hundreds of thousands of Hillary 2016 voters who will vote for Trump in 2020. Two, it's stupid and discriminatory to assume that everyone of a certain race/gender/class etc will vote the same way - that's just as bad as Biden assuming he's got the black vote by default. He lost more voters than he gained because of that dumbass comment.

Yep, you speak the truth. The line between work time and personal time is blurred, and shitty bosses will take advantage of it. It's happening more frequently in my job - an email Tuesday evening about shit that needs to be done by 8 AM on Wednesday morning, a phone call well outside of work hours to ask some mundane question, or tasks that you're expected to complete over the weekend.

Good burn. His show will be a flop, much like his NFL career.

Trump is running against everyone in Congress, no matter the party, who's got their thumb up their ass and big money in their pockets, talking a big game but never getting anything done. Trump is running against mouth-foaming neocon strategists in the Pentagon who only want to get America into a prolonged war. Trump is running against any media outlet who feels the need to let opinions get in the way of facts.

Trump is running for the American people.

What blows my mind is when Reddit bitches about how "the stock market doesn't matter IF U CANT AFFORD TO INVEST IN IT REEEEE" Shut the fuck up - modern ETFs have made it so you can invest in a market-following fund for hundreds or even dozens of dollars instead of the thousands you might need as a minimum in an index fund. And some of these fucking ETFs have been around for 20+ years. That excuse no longer works.

I put small amounts of money in the market even when I was barely getting by earning $10 an hour. There's no reason you can't too.

I don't think Biden is anti-2A - at worst, he just doesn't give a shit one way or the other. Thing is, he's got anti-2A crazies like Warren whispering in his ear, and Lord knows with his fragile mental state he's susceptible to their influence.

Welp, nevermind that. Biden continues to disappoint on anything that matters.

I've got all the respect in the world for the postal workers who bust their asses day in and day out to deliver mail to and from rural areas, middle of nowhere desert lots, shitty inner city neighborhoods, etc.

The union? Not so sure anymore. They should stay the hell out of politics.

The Republicans and Democrats collude behind closed doors to maintain the status quo and subvert Trump's agenda. Then they go back out in the open and pander to their sides. Trump is the only one taking action to help America. Congress is just words with no action, which are carefully planned. All political theater.

It saddens me to see that there are still so many tribal people out there who think that Republicans or Democrats in Congress are fighting for their interests. They're not. It creates an us. vs. them, left vs. right mentality, when it should be people vs. politicians.

The longer I live, the more convinced I am that the parties actually are the same.

DonutDog 13 points ago +13 / -0

Not just Democrats - also Republicans who hate Trump, Independents, and perhaps most troublingly, people from other countries who have no allegiance to any American party.

30%/50% tax? That is absolutely insane and will never pass. But it doesn't matter, we the people need to show representatives that such a far-reaching bill is unacceptable. Note that Warren introduced the same bill in the Senate (S. 3254). So you can call your Senator and voice your disapproval of this bullshit bill. Even if your Senator is a democrat, call them anyway - anyone in Congress besides the furthest of the crazy progressives should see the rationale for voting against this, and I expect if it's ever voted on it will end up crushed by a 10 aye 90 nay vote or some shit.

This article is so stupid that even RBG would rip it up if it came across her desk.

Time and time again, I have found myself giving my own doctors a trans 101 lesson. Health providers constantly misgender me during vulnerable treatments and exams.

So you are suddenly an expert on biology, more qualified to tell the doctors your gender than they are? Get the fuck out of here. They are trying to help, trying to give you the best treatment they can based on your biological gender. I can only imagine the insane level of eye-rolling and face-palming her doctors went through listening to her bullshit.

Voter ID should be such a non-issue, such a bipartisan initiative that everyone should agree on it. It still blows me away that some members of Congress (both Democrat and Republican) are against it.

If you are a citizen, you should absolutely get a say in who leads your country. If you aren't, then you shouldn't. Simple as that. The simplest way to enact this would be voter ID.

DonutDog 2 points ago +2 / -0

Makes me laugh whenever I see editorials with titles like "I voted Trump in 2016. Here's why I'll be voting Biden in 2020" or some shit like that. Guarantee for every one of those, there are 3 or 4 people who could pen an article named something like "I voted Bernie in the primary. Here's why I'll be voting Trump in the general." They just don't do it because apparently announcing your support for Trump is career suicide.

You're 100% correct, most Republicans in Congress are useless, but Gaetz isn't the one I'd hold up as an example of the good ones. He's outspoken, but all he ever does is speak- all bark, no bite, wasting his time drafting a bill about the soccer team instead of writing legislation that actually helps the American people, like Trump is doing. Plus he used his daddy's money as a get out of jail free card. The definition of new school swamp.
