Moved TO Portland area around 2010. It’s sad to see how much it’s changed in just the past 10 years. Awful school system might be a turning point for us.

“Good chance you will be able to have a backyard bbq to celebrate Independence Day. Small groups will be able to...”

We fought a revolutionary war so that we can talk about the possibility of being allowed to have a bbq in our own goddamn backyard with our friends? God how far we have fallen.

“Social justice and math: teaching liberation and love”. What the hell does that have to do with math?

Taxing the middle class to death for all this “free” stuff.

Let me guess, they used ballots going out to republicans to iron out all the problems? Wouldn’t surprise me in the least.

It’s refreshing to hear the leader of the most powerful nation in the world speak like a normal person. THIS is presidential, not some politically correct PR garbage.

Lol even from the cropped thumbnail I knew what this was. TD has ruined me.

The riots are happening because Hillary lost and the dems’ previous attempts at removing a republican president failed. They’d be rioting just the same with any other republican in office.

When dems talk about Trump creating hate and division, what they really mean is they themselves become hateful and divisive, and as always it’s somehow not their fault.

All Andy does is put a spotlight on liberal insanity, usually from their own pictures or videos. And they hate it.

Should a person shoot even if pulling a gun immediately de-escalates the situation? Or should they wait until a baseball bat is already in motion toward their face?

The cop in this video also pulled his gun. Should he have shot as well?

I have a lot of respect for Oregon Firearms Federation. Great track record of holding peoples feet the fire when it comes to gun rights.

The Portland justice system is damn near irredeemable for what they did to Strickland in my opinion. I have no faith they will do much more than a slap on the wrist for this new guy.

Yep - however I expect the DA will throw the book at anyone who uses their gun no matter how justified even with video evidence. The perp will also never be charged. ...if the Strickland case tells us anything.

Coronavirus only spreads at churches, schools, and voting booths. Or any conservative gathering.

If Biden wins, the media will decide when he steps down. And it will be long before the end of his first term. He is nothing more than a vehicle to a Kamala presidency. This is exactly what happened in Oregon several years back.

I keep wondering when the people will have to step up in place of the police and put an end to this, but most people in Portland appear sympathetic to the rioters, or at least to their message if not their methods.

I didn’t realize private schools in Oregon were affected by the new order until we visited one today. Lucky for us 3rd and under have different metrics, but nothing is guaranteed. Here we are 3 weeks until schools starts and the schools are still left guessing what they will be allowed to do. Thanks, Kate Brown.

The NRA has done nothing here in Oregon since the post-Newtown onslaught began. They sat with their thumbs up their butts as lawmakers tried to turn us from one of the least restrictive into the next California. Every legislative session it’s a possibility. Luckily we have a great state gun rights org.

I haven’t seen them do much on the national level, either. They are good at taking donations, though.

Two things that stand out to me: 1) Officers appear calm if not annoyed, but no obvious racist behavior. 2) Floyd was being a pain in the ass the whole time.
