It really only helps high-achieving women. Love my job and have had a great career, but for other women in nondescript service jobs, it’s honestly not been great. They get no fulfillment from their job and their home life tends to be chaotic.

A woman always needs her own income though. Being trapped in a marriage because you have no income is a terrible place to be. That’s why this is all more difficult than is often portrayed.

Igbo people of Nigeria. When you hear of a really successful black student, they are usually Igbo Nigerians and not local black people
