I agree, but now that the rate of job growth is slipping- inflation will fall even faster. I'm just waiting for the Fed to take its fucking foot off the gas with these rate increases.

Dude- you clearly do not understand the law or the circumstances.

First of all, SDNY asked the Manhattan DA to stand down while it was running its investigation. That put things in Cy Vance's office on hold. When Sessions left and Barr came in, he told SDNY to stop investigating because DoJ policy was to not indict a sitting president. So many months went by from when SDNY asked Manhattan DA to stand down and they realized that Barr had come in and shut everything down entirely. Then there was the transition from Vance to Bragg that further slowed things down. So at no time Vance or Bragg "pass" on the case. That is simply untrue.

The FEC is not a law enforcement agency. It has no prosecutorial powers whatsoever. Accordingly, they have no basis to determine whether a law was broken or not. DoJ prosecuted and imprisoned Cohen on the same set of facts under which Trump has been indicted. So that alone that should tell you that the case has some substance.

Under NY law, those misdemeanors automatically become felonies in they were committed in service to another crime. That crime would be the campaign finance violation. What remains to be seen is whether these business records offenses can be enhanced to felonies if committed in service to a federal (not state) crime. That will be a significant point of contention.

I don't know what witnesses, "have repeatedly cleared Trump of wrongdoing in the past - before they've suddenly changed their stories under pressure."

Cleared hm of what? The charges we just made public on Tuesday. How could he possibly have been cleared of them previously? The cross-examination process wi plumb the depths of witness testimony and any flip-flopping will certainly brought tot the attention of the jury.

It is not an absurdly weak case when one co-conspirator has already been convicted and imprisoned under these same facts. And now, there are witnesses like David Pecker who is cooperating with the government.

I'm pretty sure that the Harvard Law School grad who has indicted the POTUS for the first time in history has made sure that the statute of limitations won't get in the way of the biggest case of his lifetime. It's fun to hope by really unlikely.

I'm no liberal; you stupid faggot. And neither am I someone who cannot see things for what they are. You keep larping your way through life and I'll continue with my eyes wide open. Let's see who wins.

I don't disagree with your first two paragraphs. The last one is ridiculous. The crimes that are alleged, took place in Manhattan. And Trump's attorney- Joe Tacopina has already stated that Trump reimbursed Cohen for the hush money paid to Stormy Daniels. So there is that, too.

I agree that the federal government would intervene and likely it would take more than a year and a half to resolve. And there is no guarantee that the county or state would win. But first: What is the charge and how does a county prosecutor have standing to indict Biden?

1
DrAhjitMDrawrz 1 point ago +1 / -0

It depends on the make-up of the electorate. It isn't biased against conservative or liberals. It generally elevates the candidate that has the widest appeal to the overall electorate. Is that so hard to understand?

2
DrAhjitMDrawrz 2 points ago +3 / -1

That is a DoJ policy. It doesn't apply to non-federal indictments.

2
DrAhjitMDrawrz 2 points ago +3 / -1

They're not very good lawyers if they don't know that in order to go after the Biden's they'd have to first have evidence of a crime committed in their county. I doubt they have ever even set foot in those counties.

Good! This means that the increased interest rates are finally working. Maybe now the Fed will stop raising rates and inflation is clearly falling.

You don't read very well do you? Ranked choice voting generally promotes the candidate who is most acceptable to all of the voters. Not simply to one party or the other. And BTW, Murkowski is an independent who caucuses with the Republicans.

Col.Douglas Macgregor: He regularly contributes to Fox News and Russian state media.

Scott Ritter, is a convicted child sex offender. So you may want to consider whether he is someone whose authority you wish to hold out to others. Further, Ritter unilaterally rejects Western coverage of the war in Ukraine and has appeared on multiple podcasts, including Andrew Napolitano's. On April 6, 2022, Ritter was suspended from Twitter for violating its rule on "harassment and abuse" after he posted a tweet falsely claiming that the National Police of Ukraine is responsible for the Bucha massacre and calling U.S. President Joe Biden a "war criminal" for "seeking to shift blame for the Bucha murders" to Russia. The following day Newsweek reported his Twitter account had been reinstated.

Ritter has written various articles critical of NATO for Russian state media channel, RT.

In July 2022, Ritter was added to a list of pro-Russia propagandists compiled by the Ukrainian Center for Countering Disinformation.

Jimmy Dore is a wing nut, tinfoil hat conspiracy theorist. He is 9/11 conspiracy theorist, doesn't believe (Russian ally) Syria used chemical weapons on civilians and a whole host of other crazy shit. He is also all over the media.

So all of the people you mentioned are all over the media and are contributors to Russian state media. And this is who you compare to the likes of the scholars and researchers of Oryx, Rand Corp and the Institute For The Study of War?

To say that they are not in the same league in terms of scholarship, expertise and objectivity is a gross understatement. You should be embarrassed bringing up a failed comedian, partisan pro-Russia pundits and a child sex offender as worthy alternatives to actual think tanks and scholars.

If you want to be simply imbibe what you want to believe, then these are probably the people for you. But if you are at all interested in learning the truth about what is going on- then these people are not part of that process.

While the Russians contributed to the war effort- we always mistrusted the communists- and for good reason. They were always about the global spread of communism. Look at their role in North Korea, for example. We would certainly not have, "been speaking German". What would have happened is that Berlin would have been turned into a radioactive parking lot. Which makes it debatable that it would have been necessary to nuke Japan. And let's face it, we were never "allies" of the Soviets in the classic sense. Recall that Stalin signed a non-aggression pact with Hitler in 1939. So he would have sat and watched had Hitler not foolishly attacked the Soviet Union.

If you knew what you were talking about, you'd acknowledge that Russia has consider us its adversary since WWII. They were bent on empire building and challenging the US for world domination. They attempted to eject the West from Berlin by blockading access to rail, road and canals to supply the American sector leading to the Berlin airlift. It began subjugating the entirety of Eastern Europe as part of its goal to spread its influence through promoting global communism. So the adversarial relationship was the inherent clash between our desire to promote and spread democracy and the Stalin seeking to spread communism by creating vassal states, ruled from Moscow.

That seems to me to be a very good reason to maintain an adversarial relationship. If weak cucks like you were around in those early days simping for Stalin and cheering on Soviet expansion of communism- we'd be speaking Russian today, not German.

I don't normally disparage handshake accounts- but clearly you are here because Reddit decided you were to ignorant for their board and threw you off.

Fascists and tyrants stand with Putin. Because that is what he is. Life for the ordinary citizen in Putin's Russia differs little from the old Soviet Union. Political dissidents are arrested. Free press is shut down. Political opposition is murdered. Corruption is rampant. And the will of the people is ignored.

Ukraine is far from perfect. But it unified and resolute that it will do everything it its power to expel the foreign invaders from its soil and not submit to being a vassal of the Russian Empire. If you were an actual patriot- there is no question that you would support those fighting for freedom. But clearly you believe in tyranny, as long as that tyranny is of a brand you approve. Fuck you and fuck that.

It depends on the candidates. The ultimate result is that you end up with the candidate that is the most acceptable to the majority of the voters. The fact that it doesn't automatically put a thumb on the scale for a MAGA candidate isn't a disqualifier. It simply means that candidate quality needs to be considered and that a cuck like Dr. Oz and a CTE victim like Herschel Walker shouldn't be on the ballot.

Let's be clear about one important thing: When the Soviet Union collapsed in 1990- Russia recognized the sovereignty of Ukraine and recognized its borders. And so dd the rest of the world. The conflict in Donbas differed little from Russia's game plan in Crimea. Russian secret service identifies, pays, trains, arms, assists and directs insurgents in attacks on government. Russia then uses the "unrest" as a pretext for direct military intervention. Russia is in many ways a one-trick pony and this is their favorite. These conflicts are largely of Russian manufacture. He is doing the same thing right now in Moldova.

Putin is empire building. He realizes that there's no Russian Empire without Ukraine. Moldova is on the menu. The Baltic states are not far behind. Putin is on a Peter The Great larp.

I read stuff from:

The Institute For The Study of War

Oryx

Rand Corp.

https://www.rand.org/latest/russia-ukraine.html

These are serious websites run by serious, knowledgeable analysts. Some of the characters you mentioned are political operatives. You will note that I am getting it from think tanks. The have been doing this long before the Russian invasion and will be be analyzing conflicts long after. I am comfortable with the objectivity of the sources I rely on. Perhaps you will check these out and see what the non-politicians have to say.

Fuck off, salad tosser. No ones talking to you.

3
DrAhjitMDrawrz 3 points ago +3 / -0

FIRST YOU SAID:

"You're not Maga, you're just some bitch who comes here to talk shit. Why waste any time trying to prove anything to you. You're nobody."

THEN YOU SAID:

"Otherwise you would have asked for proof then shut up and waited."

Waited for what? You cucked. You made it clear you were not going to back shit up. But that's OK, I knew when we started that you were a pussy and a bitch. That is why I graciously accepted your surrender rather than humiliating you further.

Right. I'll stand with the patriots defending their homeland against the Russian invaders. While you are tonguing Putin's filthy butthole. Bon apetit!

Ummmmm...... guess who has been charged with war crimes already?

Newsflash: The Russian army has revealed itself as a weak sister. Military observers are utterly shocked by the total ineptitude and buffoonery on display. After a year, Russia still has not established air superiority, nor has it demonstrated basic competence in the integration of armor and infantry. They cannot even properly train and equip their own troops. Keep larping- it is far better for you than the reality that actually exists.
