I got kicked out of a fast food restaurant this afternoon for not wearing a mask. Was standing in line, maintaining 6 ft clearance.
Worker walks over to me in line, "Sir, do you have a mask?"
"Nope"
"Ok, let me get you one."
"If you really want to".
He returns with the mask. I take it and just keep it in my hand while I continue doing stuff on my phone. A minute later, he returns.
"Sir, I need to you wear the mask or I will have to ask you to leave."
"That's strange. What about these two gentlemen sitting at a table literally 4 feet from me without a mask?"
"Sir, they are sitting and eating."
"Oh, I see. Are you the manager?"
"Yes I am. And the owner is standing over there. (Points back to the entrance area).
So I get out of line and walk over to the owner.
"I'm being told to leave unless I wear this mask."
"Yes, it is company policy."
"So, it's not a law, just company policy."
"It is company policy to wear a mask."
I place the mask down on the nearest table, "You have lost a customer for life".
Next time I go to a fast food joint, I will be sure to bring some candy with me. I'm thinking m&m's or some peanuts. The moment a worker attempts to make me wear a mask while I wait to order, I will sit on the ground indian style and start eating some m&m's. Let them all bask in their hypocrisy.
