Every day of our lives, we are faced with things that are completely beyond our control. Things that impact our lives in ways we don't choose. Things that put our attitude from, "I got this," to "When will the shitstorm end." We see the bastards who are trying to rob us of our choice and ruin our republic, and we may feel powerless to stop them. We just want to scream at the world, "Can't you see what a mockery these thieving ass hats have made of our republic? They corrupted our ultimate symbol of representative democracy!" The pressure and the stress builds.
But in the range, you can find control. I know that I do. I control my grip, my breathing, my stance, and I control where I focus my eyes (front sight). And in that moment, everything fades. I control a small piece of metal traveling supersonic speeds, and I make that metal have an impact on a target. I have become the outside force impacting something else. I have control. I have power. And I know it. Deep in my core, I know it. And the stress melts away. And in the process, I practice my aim, tighten my groupings and take the rust off.
Get to the range. Clear out the mental clutter. Do this to be better focused for your friends and loved ones, and keep your head in the fight.
This morning, a coworker called me stating that he was planning on voting for the first time in his life. He said that he had a cousin who was trying to steer him to Creepy Uncle Joe, and asked me my thoughts. (He knows I'm MAGA all the way)
I shared a list of GEOTUS accomplishments, promises kept, and gave him a dozen easy reasons to vote for President Trump. Then, I lit into Hunter, Joe, Pedos, and reasons to vote AGAINST Creepy, Sleepy, Lyin', Hiding, Biden.
He voted Trump.
