FACT: If you had a Parler account, your activity prior to its deplatforming, has been compromised and you are exposed.

Your uploaded personal information, your pictures, your videos, your posts, and for verified users...your drivers license are all now a playground for those that have an agenda and want to demonize and admonish the Greatest President that has ever held office along with his supporters. You are a threat. Patriotism is a threat.

If you posted info that was seemingly hateful, violent, subversive, threatening, or racist; in truth, out of sarcasm or even in jest; you are now a target.

• Expect the most egregious content to be published

The unprecidented censorship of social media led to the explosive growth of Parler. Users flocked to Parler and so did media attention. Parler was so focused on expansion and adoption, that they failed to ensure security. Specifically, its authentication/authorization mechanisms.

ACT AS IF

While online, "act as if" everything you post, download, upload, or share will be seen or disclosed either accidentally, purposefully, or (in Parler's case) ignorantly.

Your data is not private You unknowingly leak personal data and telemetry. Anything you connect to the internet is constantly collecting data. Some is anonymized (generic identifier), some is not.

When the service is free, you are the product.

You are not anonymous The effort and dedication involved for true net anonymity is reserved by those with a security focused mindset and security expertise. You might say, "bUt I hAvE a VpN", that's cute.

You are not prepared Most of you have no idea how vulnerable you are. For every technology vulnerability or exploit a "hacker" or government might use to intercept or acquire info that is heard about in the news, there are two more that you haven't.
