The Electoral College doesn't convene until late December and isn't certified until January specifically because contested elections may occur and courts need time to rule. Assembling the college 4 hours after an election concludes is insanity.

This will be a contested election and that's OK, we have processes to handle this. The US election officially runs through early January. States must certify > Electoral College must convene > Congress must certify the College's vote.
