So I knew this guy for awhile, he's liberal, and I consider myself a more independent voter. Despite that, I do like Trump a lot. But he absolutely hates him.
Well, on the day he was acquitted, my friend messages me basically saying 'Fuck USA' and claims hes sick of it here, and thinks that Trump is going to bring back segregation or some stupid shit like that.
Which heres the thing, I hate it when you insult America. BUT, that paled in comparison to what he said next.
He claimed in order to escape Xenophobia and Racism that he was going to move to Japan.....
Now, for those of you who don't know, despite Japan having an appreciation for American culture, specifically in the entertainment sector, they also don't take in many immigrants and they make the process incredibly difficult. They may like foreigners as tourists, but they sure as hell don't want them as their neighbors.
And I found it odd, because he complained about how the US's immigration process was too strict, but he wanted to move to a country where it was damn near impossible if you weren't japanese.
And the weird thing I noticed is that up until the tv told him Trump was acquitted, he went about his life as normal, it wasn't until he heard it on the tv that he had a meltdown.
The truth is that in the average americans day to day life, what the President does or doesn't do, really doesn't affect your everyday life.
And I even tried pointing it out to him that Under Trump, his life has been easier. His taxes are lowered, economy is doing great, wages are better. But hes still ignoring that because 'Muh mexican heritage.'
Honestly its a bit ridiculous.
And I feel bad because we had been friends for awhile, but its kind of hard to stay friends when he's convinced conservatives are nazis and obviously doesn't think straight.
Also, he told me the reason he wanted to move to Japan was for anime and games.
Pro tip, the Japanese will fucking hate you if you think their culture is limited to anime and video games.
