This community has become heavily infiltrated. There's more hatred on here for the GOP than the DNC. Maybe even more hatred for the GOP than Biden.
The GOP is corrupt. No one here is arguing that point. We all watched the election play out. (Although, there are still far more reasonable people left in the GOP than the DNC.) The question is what do we do about that corruption. Do we cry and bitch? Do we LARP about a third party?
Our next elections are only 1 year and 9 months away. What's the name of this new party? Who has been chosen to lead it? Where can I register? Where can I donate? Where can I read the party platform? Unless Trump steps up to lead said party in the next month, this idea is just that. An idea. And a waste of time and energy.
Guess who wants us to waste our time on it? Democrats. It helps them to win and cheat with zero oversight. RINOs. It helps them continue to run the GOP in whatever way they want with no oversight.
The precinct committeemen strategy is a real plan. It may not be glamorous, but it could actually make a difference. Ones that get us in the process and on the ballot.
If there are other real plans on the table, shout them out here.
Become a precinct chair!
The position of Precinct Chair is considered to be the most essential leadership role in a political party, as it is the Precinct Chair who has day to day interaction with the voters in their area. Each county is divided into precincts.
Identifying and 🚨registering voters🚨 in your Precinct
This is an exciting opportunity to meet your neighbors, get to know your neighborhood, and also a chance to get some great exercise. Most Precincts are easy to walk in a day or two depending on your pace, fitness level, and your engagement level. Who knows, maybe you’ll meet a neighbor who is willing to walk with you!
Informing voters as to political events, and helping 🚨turn out the vote🚨
The CollinGOP and the Republican Clubs have monthly meetings and big events that you could invite your neighbors too. This is a great way for them to get involved and stay up to date with what is going on in politics. Turning out the Republican vote is important to every election and the best way to do that is to have an active Republican Precinct Chair.
Attending meetings of the County Executive Committee
As a Republican Precinct Chair you are entitled to a vote at the County Executive Committee meeting. You are able to help decide on matters that effect your county party. These are also great strategy and educations sessions on how to be a great Precinct Chair in your county.
🚨Working at the polls and/or recruiting poll workers🚨
One of the best ways to meet people in your Precinct is to work the polls at elections. Your friends and neighbors will have a chance to meet and talk with you. This also help ensure election integrity.
Running the Precinct Convention
Every two years, your Precinct will hold a Precinct Convention. As Precinct Chair you are tasked with running this convention. It is a time where people from your Precinct can submit resolutions to be considered for inclusion in the Republican Party of Texas Platform. Resolutions passed in your convention will go to the Senate District Conventions, and if included there will go on to the Texas Republican Convention to be voted on there.
We all work together
The important thing to remember about being a Precinct Chair is that you are not alone. Information, voting lists, supplies, etc. are available from Republican Party Headquarters. Our more experienced Precinct Chairs are always there to assist you.
If unopposed, they do not appear on the ballot, but are considered elected that day. If more than one person files for Precinct Chair, the voters of that precinct decide.
Precinct chairs can be appointed for vacancies between primaries in many counties.
I snagged most of this from a TX county GOP page. It varies from state to state.
I've noticed a shill uptick. Maybe related? Maybe just newbies?
I think we all agree that Twitter is a cesspool, and Jack Dorsey is a traitor. So, let's stop sending them revenue, traffic, and our personal information. There's a better way.
