Now I've never had the specific interest to look into "slaves built the pyramids" but I have many, many, sometimes fleeting interests, some time back I ran into an articles a did a little bit of research; over the last decade and beyond new hieroglyphs have been discovered, expanding vocabulary allow for more accurate contextual translation. Most linguists and egyptologists now agree that the new translations provide written proof (such as accounting records) that the pyramids were NOT built by slaves but by PAID workers, some believe it was simply a massive project to boost the economy.
