THIS! Absolutely, THIS! All my girls (and wife) shoot and shoot very well. We have a local shooting school run by some friends. They teach a women’s “intro to firearms” class. We filled an entire class with family and friends. Ladies teach the class and John just oversees it and is around to help with questions. The women shoot all kinds of handguns from small revolvers to large and the same for semi-auto pistols. They get to hold, shoot, and familiarize themselves with them and can then make an educated decision on what kind of gun is right for them.
Go take a class. Buy a gun that fits you. Store it securely. Practice regularly.
