Sounds similar to what my fiance was going through for years. Multiple E.R. visits, doctor appointments, random symptoms, horribly painful periods, sex hurt, overall just a lot of pain. Blood work, scans, nothing showed up. Eventually we (or rather she) managed to figure it out from a friend of hers on Facebook who had it. Endometriosis.
She had to see a specialist to confirm it (doctors won't find it unless they know what they're looking for). Once the specialist did, she had surgery a month later to remove it.
There's so much more to it though, but that's just a nutshell. It's a disease that affects so many women and so little know about it.
If you want more information or have questions, let me know.
I actually remember this! I was in 7th grade and for whatever reason, we were watching this political channel in class, and the reporter's were saying how much it hurt his chances of winning. I just remember thinking, "I don't understand, what's the big deal?"
Never heard of it again until now.
That was a really well said and beautiful statement.
