Maybe the mods have gotten lazy and don’t really take the time to pick a quality sticky. They just sticky the first thing they see and then sign off.
Mods only care about what they want, not the wants of users who MADE them.

Why not make a sticky informing of the search function being broken? Why not tell the users who use the site everyday about how to use this important feature that is now broken?
