There are several fallacies I found while reading this article about critical thinking.
strawman You misrepresented someone's argument to make it easier to attack.
appeal to authority You said that because an authority thinks something, it must therefore be true.
Fallacy and cognitive biases are tools of the trade for a skilled propagandist...IDK about skilled when I was able to spot these with a first reading.
I'd attribute this a psychological phenomenon known as habituation...in video games it would be grinding through repetitive tasks of habit formation while fighting against the diminishing dopamine hits due to the boredom of habituation in order to level up or gain EPs for loot. AND it is why creativity in messaging is essential...
It is also why Mom's learn that calling for John Jones to get his ass in for dinner is less effective than calling for John Paul Jones.
My bet is the CBSN producers stepped in, sorta like Faye Dunaway in Network when she found ratings gold during an on-air rant by Peter Finch, and recognized good television moments are rare...
You know the line, "I'm as mad as Hell...and I'm not going to take this anymore." Yes, it is from that movie...
This is how I take it to the streets in the digital age of social media, mainly FB... I think of Daniel in the lion's den...25 Years ago when it was Speaker Newt Gingrich, the Speaker gave a speech on C-SPAN to a decidedly unfriendly audience...a remarkable speech-maker, Newt. So despite all the suspensions, really not that many, I raise my fist like a Boomer protesting the war in '69 and stick it to the man...er algorithm.
I do believe screencaps are better than sharing memes...sharing leaves a breadcrumb trial from the source to the artifact...they have to use processing time to decipher a screencapped meme. If I could only figure out a way to flummox the algorithm when I do video...FB and YouTube both do speech recognition on videos, so the algorithm just has to process plaintext transcripts to ID a shared video...not a really difficult task for a computer...probably does it once and then uses something like file checksums...but I am out of my depth on those so it is my hypothesis...
Since I am suspended on Twitter it may not work for that...BUT say I am on my FB newsfeed or a FB group or a YouTube comment thread, and I am getting my ass handed to me with better snark, sarcasm, satire, irony...that means I need to tag team with a better wordsmith than I am to take the trash to the dump... Key to winning is to delegate...
Without doxing and brigading forums like those I mentioned above...what logistics would be used to pair up the weaker with the stronger and tag team the losers ?
i mean that I expect the leadership of both sides of the aisle to deliver taxpayer funds and funded projects to Wyoming as an incentive/quid pro quo with Wyoming voters. They (House of Representatives leadership) cannot have the voters actually cull out one of their own supporters.
Viva Frei provides an excellent view of the article. His deconstruction is a primer into the framing, psychological projection, use of Super Secret Squirrel (my words) coalitions, and IMHO to take this article and use to red pill decent fair minded voters who believe in transparency in the election of the leader of the free world...
I contacted the Mods this morning about using Torrent to distribute the mp4 on *.win. Yet to hear back from them on this...
My thinking is if they cannot take down movies and music, it would be a safe way to distribute to tech-savvy Pedes.
enter text There is the theory of conspiracy and the actual conspiracy...a cabal wants to protect us from ourselves and they want us to know how they did it...
I get the sentiment...so what? Then take that answer and apply the 5 whys technique to it...and discover how it matters to some to bring this forward to draw attention to a threat to call witnesses so we can call the FBI...as if. I'd least likely call up an FBI spokesperson to testify on my behalf...
Hmmm only government-funded elections is almost like only government-funded campaigns...think long-game not short-game.
