Pretty sure you can get dna results within a day if you have enough of it. What slows the process down is when they have to multiply the dna from a tiny sample. They said they found remains, so if they found a finger or some limb there would be plenty for a dna sample to get started on right away.

There's one iffy thing I would point out. AN explosives are not as easy these days as it sounds. Because of the bombs he talks about like OKC, they've changed AN fertilizer.
As I understand it they add another chemical that renders it inert. You can still buy pure AN but only in small very quantities. I believe there is a process to return the modified AN to pure but it's a whole chemistry process that's way over my head. (Note: this is all second hand knowledge from a guy that worked on detonators for military munitions)

Military handbooks are actually available to anyone, you can just download them. They may have some that are off limits, but it's surprising what you can find. The special warfare one is particularly interesting and I would recommend everyone keep a copy, just in case.
