I don't think there is much new fashion going on anymore. No fashion shows. The trends from Springtime are being unloaded at bargain prices, department stores are going under, and people spend more time at home where they don't care about fashion. Office workers aren't buying suits or ties or shoes since they meet online.
This, too, is actually kind of a positive. Fashion has been getting more and more ridiculous in recent years. Distressed jeans, ugly ass graphic tees, bizarre looking outfits selling for way too much money.
Just like Hollywood, and other things too, it was all too much. The liberal world has mostly come crashing down.

It's heading in that direction regardless. The examples you give of smart, decent blacks is nice, but liberals and the vast majority of blacks will never look to these people as leaders. They cast them out as Uncle Toms and idiots and traitors. There is a race problem just as much as there is an ideology problem. Both appear to be unsolveable and reaching breaking points.
But for Obama to choose the right path, would have gone completely contrary to everything he stood for, everything he learned, everything he did as a community organizer, all of his lifelong fraud. The Democrats are a big fraud, and so they lifted up a giant fraud as their leader. It could not really have been any other way. He knew no other way.
In the BEST case scenario, the hope I think has been to ride through moments of tension and violence and to lift up blacks to a minimum level of education and economic status where they at least aren't tearing shit up like animals. When people have a better lifestyle, they typically don't care as much about rioting and looting, people get lazier, they move out of cities and start to enjoy the good life. Also, the long term vision in this country seems to have been for full integration as the only practical solution, to just move forward and mix together all the races, mix away the black and everybody has a kumbaya "we're all the same" revelation and "love triumphs all" in the great melting pot of the world. The problem with that is that we're not all equal and so mixing us together doesn't necessarily lead to a stronger outcome, at best it leads to mediocrity and a generally stupid population. At worst, forced integration and all the inequalities lead to resentment, anger, especially when one class becomes "protected" and given unfair advantages. The original kumbaya promise was revealed to be a lie and a joke when one group expects and is given endless preferential treatment and its failure to thrive like everyone else begins to weigh on the rest of society. So things begin to dis-integrate and tribalize.
The sad truth is, things have been devolving for a long time. The problems have never really been dealt with, just kicked down the road, and the times when it looked like everything was great, like in the 70's, were an unsustainable aberration when things appeared equal after civil rights and people were in their kumbaya era. It was an illusion.
I personally think the divide is now too great to hope to smooth out. People are set in their camps and becoming more extreme, not less. Social media is making things so much worse by allowing both thought bubbles and propaganda to spread. And the media is maybe the worst of all, stirring up lies and creating a parallel universe that is not reality.
Some things can't be fixed. Some things are just destined to break.

Does it really matter either way? Even if Trump wins, the left won't accept it. They will look to overthrow him and call his occupation of the WH illegitimate. The violence will just escalate. And if he wins and manages to control it for now, do you really think the Democrats will never again get into power? Do you really think the left will give up? They want power, and they are determined to get it even if it means a revolution and war. This stuff seems inevitable, it's only a matter of timing.
And yes, people will always go to the streets when it comes to defending their own lives. The only reason many people are spending more time at home is because they don't currently perceive the political situation as a mortal threat or an actual revolution. When people have nothing to lose, when they have no job, no future, no money, there is nothing stopping them from taking to the streets or standing their ground. People don't just roll over, starve, hand over their guns, and give in to socialism without at least a fight
I grew up a mostly suburban life, but I have lived in cities and when I was a kid I went to a middle school in a rougher area because it was the only place where the "gifted" math/science program was (strange, right? It made no sense). It was a group of very smart white kids in a school of lots of blacks, some hispanics and retarded white kids. I'll never forget my experience there. Cafeteria fights EVERY. FUCKING. DAY. Violent, too. Blacks slamming trays at each other's heads. Slamming heads against lockers. All out brawls. Stabbings with cafeteria utensils. Tons of teenage pregnancies. In the hallways, I could barely walk through, it was truly animalistic. They smelled bad. They towered over us and raced around like animals. Constant laughing and screaming. Absolutely brainless behavior. Total disrespect for all authority, little adherence to the bells.
When I was at a public university I was amazed at everything they were given for free. Everything-- housing, tuition, motor scooters, food, and they still manage to piss it all away. They act like they are entitled kings (we wuz kangz an sheeyit), but in reality they are human trash with perpetual instinctual victim inferiority mindset. No matter how much stuff you give them, they will always have that mindset. Sadly, our society has been fueling this entitlement so now the arrogance and brazenness is just sky high. As they lash out more and more and encroach upon others, at some point whitey is going to defend himself and retaliate. Until now it is truly amazing how much restraint society, and law enforcement, has had. But there is a breaking point somewhere. I fear the consequences will be horrific.
There are some decent ones, mostly in the suburbs, they escaped the inner city life and made it to the good life, with a good income, but yeah, we're talking like less than 5%, maybe less than 1%, who knows. And actually, the destruction isn't really because some black criminal got killed. That's all a facade and excuse for the rioting and looting. The rioting and looting will happen either way eventually when you get enough of them together in one place. Lately they've been using the shooting as the excuse and as a way to get some dumb whitefolk onboard with the "movement", but we're starting to see already some instances where there is no reason at all, no shooting, and the media does not understand why it happened, they call it 'inexplicable'. It's not inexplicable, it's just blacks shitting everywhere they eat, and the more power and voice they are given in society the more we see their true angry uncivilized nature come out. It's why Africa never develops, it is perpetual domestic terrorism against themselves and everyone and everything around them. Except here in America, we have a highly developed complex society, so when you begin dismantling that system it's a long way down and damn scary.
My advice is to just steer clear of them. If you mess with a beast, you're practically asking to get hurt. Only bad can come of it. Don't try to help, don't try to make peace, don't instigate, just run far away them from and don't look back. America should have picked its own cotton. For that boneheaded mistake several hundred years ago, all of civilization must now pay the ultimate price.

Trump is telling people to "get ready" for war at this point. He is saying, this is it folks, they're coming for the guns, they're getting rid of the police, the savages are coming for the suburbs, it's happening. He wasn't lying when he said he wants to give the power back to the people. The people of this country will be their own last defense.
Sad that it has come to this, but Trump is sounding the five alarm fire at this point.
