SUMMARY: The Secretary is issuing this Declaration pursuant to section 319F-3 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 247d-6d) to provide liability immunity for activities related to medical countermeasures against COVID-19.

DATES: The Declaration is effective as of February 4, 2020.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act (PREP Act) authorizes the Secretary of Health and Human Services (the Secretary) to issue a Declaration to provide liability immunity to certain individuals and entities (Covered Persons) against any claim of loss caused by, arising out of, relating to, or resulting from the manufacture, distribution, administration, or use of medical countermeasures (Covered Countermeasures), except for claims involving “willful misconduct” as defined in the PREP Act. This Declaration is subject to amendment as circumstances warrant.

I'm honestly surprised Cooper made it statewide. I was kinda surprised when Gaston County did it but I guess it makes sense since it borders Meck and there's a lot of work traffic back and forth

not going to deny that New York City is in a mess but to shut down counties I'm in where there are 7 reported cases since this began is insane.

I use to love the Big City life, thank god I grew out of that the older I got. High-Density Population areas are troublesome.

Also sorry to hear of the weight you nd your wife have to bear during this time. Don't think that this silliness on my part is my only focus, it is more my release. We all have struggles we are facing, mine are making sure my children that are living in different parts of the state are taken care of (they are in the restaurant service industries), My 80 YO mother in a different state is safe, my father in law that is in a nursing home that we cant visit, my friends that are heavily impacted .. things are very real already but I try to maintain a healthy dose of optimism

this is this stuff that absolutely drives me mad. do they all have a story to tell, can they just talk about the pros and cons of what is being proposed then vote .. they are using too many extra words .. lol
