I think most, maybe 90% of southern soldiers were not fighting to preserve slavery or plantation owners. Yes, there is no sign of any remarkable intelligence in the Democrat party or it's base. Even if the Democrats at times seem more driven and able to accomplish their politcal goals, their vision and intentions for our country are not based on any true or enduring principles. Their platform is simply control of the masses via demographic changes, redistribution of money, control as much private industry as possible, and use our military to further globalist goals rather than protect our sovereignty.
