Yes. The average person these days seems to be absolute shit at critical thinking. Most conversations involve massive amounts of hyperbole, with very few taking the time to think about the meaning of the words they (or the other side) are using, or the true scope of the problem. Words have lost their meaning. Noise volume and expression are preferred over precise language. Dialogue is a lost art for most of our citizenry.
There are options for private school and homeschooling that can provide an good education for your kids at a relatively low cost. You don't have to send your kids to $30k/year private school or leave them to themselves with a few books and call it homeschooling while they mentally rot. You can find low-cost, high-quality options, but you'll have to do some research and yes, you will have to sacrifice a bit. We have our boys in a distance-learning, accredited private classical christian school program with live teachers and it's costing us about $7k a year, with a 10 month payment plan option. Prior to this, we tried a local private school for a few years but it eventually became too expensive. We also tried a homeschooling program that my wife didn't like. We feel the distance-learning program has provided a better education than either private school or homeschooling, but it took us a bit of looking to find it. There are options for everyone, but you have to be committed and prepared to sacrifice and provide the best education you can with the resources you have available.

Yep, the other day I tried to watch Starman, a Jeff Bridges movie from 1984. I quit watching after they introduced a stereotypical 'redneck hunter jerk'. The Hollywood programming has been going on a long time, trying to cut down bedrock American values. I'm very sensitive to it now because it has gotten so blatant. A few years ago I probably would have just rolled my eyes and continued watching.
We don't have TV, and very few streaming sites (not Netflix or Disney). Mostly I check out stuff on YouTube or older films and shows on Prime or Vudu. I rarely watch newer shows or movies because they're all woke shit or full of faggotry.
