I would NOT be surprised if that hard drive was purposefully abandoned with a person Hunter knew was conservative in a way that couldn't be seen as an intentional act by Hunter.
Think about it. How many Apple Store techs do you know who are conservative? Clearly there are some, but most I've seen or spoken to seem at least significantly left of center.
Now, if there are pedo pictures in there involving Hunter, then, well, I would chalk that up to crack, or perhaps poor deletion protocols. No way he'd voluntarily shoot himself in the foot like that, IMHO.

Someone must be gathering data on this by now, comparing national death rates per month or quarter to pre-COVID numbers, and breaking down things like auto accidents and violent deaths to get a real picture of how dangerous COVID is.
Don't get me wrong. Africa has it's own problems. Living under a warlord or dictator is not a life most of us would ever consider. At the same time, established authoritarian governments in poverty stricken countries really couldn't give a shit about the political narratives of Leftists in the developed world.
There are issues to be considered. Classified data and NSFW content might be present in videos, but we have video editing these days, and it's not hard to do.

After several cases where media false narratives have resulted in people being injured and dying, is enforced availability of arrest and confrontation video a price we are willing to pay a bit of freedom/privacy for?

It came to my attention last week that we don't have a strong, easy to remember phrase that describes how the Left cherry-picks bits and pieces of science that supports their viewpoints, while ignoring science that does not.
It occurred to me a couple days ago that this behavior is somewhat similar to many cases of date rape.
In both cases, the violators operate under false pretenses, and after the deed is done, they normally try to legitimize their abuse by carefully constructing a set of 'facts' which creates a false narrative.
It seems to me that 'science rape' is not too vulgar, but is a powerful enough phrase that it could make some mighty fine memes.
Especially with Joepedo as the Democrat Presidential candidate in the upcoming election.
It is a very common practice for Leftists to cherry pick facts in such a way that it supports their narrative.
For example, the studies performed with Hydroxychloroquine but with no zinc or Azithromycin do not show significant COVID benefits for the infected.
Then there are studies where nearly dead people are put on Hydroxychloroquine, zinc, and Azithromycin, and they also have a low recovery rate.
Then there are the Hydroxychloroquine issues that older males have with heart problems, though few other demographics have the same heart issues.
The left uses these three 'facts' to create a false narrative that hydroxychloroquine, zinc, and Azithromycin, if patients are dosed before they are near death, is not a useful combination of medicine.
I've been calling it 'shit science' but that phrase, while accurate, IMHO, isn't going to catch on.
Pseudoscience definitely works, but it's actually already a word, and really doesn't convey the was real science is corrupted by the Leftists.

I am no lawyer pede, but if the power of the Executive Order is so great, why not use an Executive Order to reduce the power of all Executive Orders? Before a Democrat enters office. In the beginning, Reddit was a magical place built and ruled by a couple young folks with a beautiful idea.
They were going to create the world's biggest electronic message board, where people could gather and speak freely, and everyone would be able to tell when others thought their ideas and comments were noteworthy.
For years, Reddit was a great place, with few restrictions. Making threats and talking about truly vile things was restricted, but practically everything else was allowed. Even things that most people agreed was idiocy or distasteful.
That idyllic scenario ended suddenly, when it became clear in the beginning of the 2016 election cycle that conservative beliefs were more strongly supported on Reddit than Leftist creeds.
Leftist organizations started working to develop robotic downvoting software, and strangled conservatives in large political subreddits using the karma system to soft-censor anyone who dared to post conservative ideas there. For those unfamiliar with how that works, basically if your karma rating in a subreddit is too low, you can only post once every ten minutes. This creates an enormous advantage for Leftists who are unrestricted in their posting privileges.
This behavior did not simply occur in private or strict subreddits, but in the largest and most active ones like /politics.
When conservatives were chased out of neutral subreddits by partisan Leftist activists using bots, the conservatives created their own communities.
One of them grew large and powerful, and conservative thoughts once again began to trend strongly on the home page of Reddit.
This was unacceptable to the Left.
Shockingly, one of the creators of Reddit chose to abuse his power and start modifying posts of those who were critical of Reddit's refusal to remain an impartial community in the public areas of the site.
The buildup of Leftist moderators and staff became more apparent. Reddit was becoming politicized. Leaked documents and text transcripts made it clear that not only was the Reddit staff biased, they were actively working towards enforcing that bias on the site, and silencing the strong voices of conservative ideas.
The first step was re-writing the top page of Reddit, removing conservative thought from being viewable unless you were already a member of a conservative subreddit. In essence, this meant that most neutral parties could only see Leftist ideas, never conservative ones. It is a form of shadowbanning, except it was used on entire communities.
When even that did not stop the power of the conservatives in their rules-protected subreddit, The_Donald, the Reddit staff went even farther and quarantined the subreddit after some retard posted a threatening post, and a few people upvoted it.
Every large political subreddit has it's share of retards who make threats, but only The_Donald was quarantined, until it became apparent that there needed to be an unimportant Leftist disposable subreddit quarantined in order to "prove" Reddit was unbiased.
The Leftist subreddit /Chaposomethinghouse (it was too insignificant to remember the full, actual name, sorry) was quarantined and Reddit pretended that was some sort of equivalence.
When The_Donald still remained a powerhouse on Reddit, despite the farcical quarantine remaining in place, the Reddit admin team decided it was time to destroy the subreddit.
The next step taken by the Leftist Reddit admin team was to remove the most active The_Donald moderators, and disable the community's automoderation software. This left the subreddit unable to protect itself from a flood of Leftists pretending to be conservatives who would be able to post against the community rules, and Reddit site rules, with little chance for the intentionally crippled moderation staff to moderate properly.
This was a clear attack on The_Donald, and the Reddit staff's obvious next step was to completely shut down the subreddit as soon as the intentionally crippled moderation staff let through a few token idiot rulebreaking posts.
Once again, The_Donald moderators outsmarted the Leftist Reddit staff and simply shut down posting except by a few individuals who were vetted.
Again, Reddit struck. They would not allow the community of The_Donald to choose replacement mods. All new moderators for the subreddit needed to be politically correct Leftist commissars, approved by the Reddit staff.
At that point, the remaining mods on The_Donald disabled all posting, and The_Donald died on Reddit, a victim of electronic Socialism.
That is the roadmap to Socialism. First, everything is wonderful, and then an authoritarian regime develops. They take power unto themselves, and silence opposition. Opposition that refuses to stay silenced is taken around the corner and shot in the head.

Think about it. Small colleges, scattered around the US that teach practical economics, business, accounting, science, math, actual history, and responsible journalism.
The administration and staff would have reversed policies for hiring, where school employees would have to believe in rational social policies.
If you think Socialism or Globalism makes sense, you can't be hired there. Even gay folks are fine, as long as they are capable of comprehending basic biology, and understand that if you are a gay man, you are still a biological male.
A lot of schools already exist like this, I know, but most of them that I am aware of have religious roots and faith expectations for the students. I would like to see conservative small colleges without ties to religion.
