The biggest problem with people who think raising min wage to $15 is that they’re expecting what should be temporary jobs, bottom of the barrel, to be mortgage paying, life building jobs. Jobs like McDonald’s shouldn’t be able to pay a mortgage. That’s not their business model. It takes people with no skills and teaches them the basics, allowing upward movement to other better paying positions.
All a $15 min wage will do is increase costs across the board. That $8 value meal will now be $14(estimate). Businesses don’t have the overhead to just eat the increase, their prices have to go up to cover the wage increase. These people are stupid.

Common misconception about bankruptcy. For businesses it can be used to restructure assets and debts, not because the have no money. It’s why I’ve always brushed off talk of Trump’s company bankruptcies. The smart businesses use it strategically.

Australians on my FB (don’t hate, reasons) are the weirdest people. When they were talking about this it was “freedom of speech is a privilege”. I had to jump in, in the US it’s a right and no one would care if DJT was kicked off twitter if they abided by 230(and I explained what it was) and held everyone to the same standard but they’re not. I offered to show violent tweets by congressmen left up from the BLM rioting. Nobody took me up on it, but one person ultimately agreed it should be equal for everyone.
I’ll take that as a win.
I subscribe to a Christian streaming service. It’s great, can let my kids watch anything because I know there’s not underhanded SJW stuff there. They make some (kind of corny) originals that show people actually praying. It’s kind of weird it’s so unusual for tv.

They filed lawsuits in some of these states about the new election processes. The lawsuits were thrown out on BS reasons. Then after the election they were told they waited too long to file in those same places. The courts took them for a ride.

I’m open to the idea that Pence genuinely believed he didn’t have the authority because the “dual electors” weren’t sent by majority of their legislators. If AZ or PA had decertified and sent the second set I could see it.
