The aim of disinformation isn't to convince people one way or the other. It's to muddy the waters, so you're unable to take effective action. This is what is happening on this site right now, so many people believe there's some sort of 11th hour deus ex machina ending that no one is effectively organising.
This is how they've operated for years. Manufacture a crisis and then steer the reaction. They have some weird Pavlovian influence over their viewers, somehow. I remember trying to tell people how the system worked years ago when I was in my early teens. I learned quickly that people don't care about these things.
Even so, we have to trust the people. Because we have no other choice.
Sure. But the mods shouldn't be feeding mass delusion when there are alternative options.
This is also about a pattern of misinformation. I've seen pedes grab on to too-good-to-be-true claims for the past 4 years. Even before the 6th, it was an upwards battle against misinfo. Remember the blockchain watermarks? All the threads, the multitudes of comments? It was an obvious misinfo campaign and a significant proportion of people here believed it, or wanted to believe to the point of muddying the waters.
I swear, if Trump said "We lost, I'm conceding, it's over" people on here would be adding up numbers and trying to work out how this means it's secretly a message to General Flynn to begin the coup.

Pedes are running around like headless chickens because they believe the possibility that:
1)a plane flying it's usual schedule is carrying the president to military bases so he can seize control of the military 2) Pompeos tweets being scheduled to release at half-hour intervals is a secret code 3) Trump conceding was not a concession 4) National Guard are in DC not for crowd control, but to arrest congress/senate 5) Any minute now some rando Italian guy will bring forward incontrovertible proof of election fraud 6 ) any minute now damning Hunter pics will be released
among other things. It's a massive fucking mess, and it's sapping energy away that could be used for meaningful ends.
