I've designed products that have internal cell modem chipsets. One question would be is it enclosed in metal or plastic? If the enclosure around it (between the antenna and the outside world) is metal it's not an antenna. If it's plastic then it could be. The metal would block the signal.

I don't know if that number is correct or not (hard to tell these days). But I feel the same way you do OP. I'm back in Texas now, but was in Commiefornia for all of 2020 and it felt like I was living on a sheep farm. Don't get me wrong, Texas is still far from perfect (lots of maskers here too). But yes, I've given up hope for mankind. A bunch of fucking useless idiots. The mass of population just drinks the propaganda Kool-Aid fed to them by the media masters. It's absolutely pathetic.

Very easy in a circular - in this case tubular - structure. Doesn't have to be an actual "vacuum" either. The round shape makes it self-supporting under extreme loads. My wheelhouse is in sending submersibles to the bottom of the ocean - miles of depth.
