Washington and the rest of the Founding Fathers knew full-well that slavery would be the end of their new nation eventually. They knew European descendants and African descendants could never occupy the same land peacefully. They contemplated sending all the slaves back to Africa, but the Southern States wouldn't have it because their economies were dependent at that point on slavery. But that time between 1780 -1810 is when they knew they had an eventual problem, but failed to act. Just think what this nation would be like now if they'd done the right thing, ended slavery and sent all the Africans back to Africa. Everyone - including blacks - would be better off today.

I moved back to Texas last year after being in Commiefornia for a long time. Every single conservative I know in CA has either moved, wants to move or is planning on moving to TX, ID, FL, UT, AZ. Not a single - not one - liberal I know there wants to move out of the State. I know a lot of both kinds of people there. People here on T_D always say the libs are invading TX - and in the past that's been true. But with this new BIG migration happening I really think it's mostly conservatives leaving CA for TX and those other States - they've finally had enough. I think reinforcements are being added, not more libtards. But I could be wrong.
EDIT: also, I have a bunch of stuff still out there in CA that I need to have moved to TX. I called PODS last week to arrange the thing. The lady on the phone that helped me was super friendly (from FL). She told me PODS books an average of 450 people leaving CA every day. I asked her how many people are moving into CA, she said "not many". That's 450 per day for PODS alone leaving. Crazy! Oh, and they wanted $11K to move my stuff. I'm going to just buy a big trailer and move it myself...then sell the trailer.

The reason so many normies are liberal is because of what the media tells them. They are nothing but sheep. Imagine if you will for a moment that CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC (essentially the top 10 "news" media outlets) one day started talking more like Fox News does. All these libs would follow it, come to the same reasoning and conclusions that the "news host" is telling them to have and they'd suddenly be conservatives. Because they are sheep to the media mouthpiece of propaganda. They would see the issues in a similar way as we do if the media did that. They think they have independent critical thinking, but they don't. The heart of the problem we have in this country lays squarely at the feet of the mainstream media. ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE! Remember that.
I have elementary school aged children. As all other parents like me can attest, this is a time in one's life where you know a lot of other people who have children. Which is not the case before you have kids. Anyway, my point is that I know a bunch of white women who have had children with a black father. Not a single one of those dad's is still around. I can think of at least 7. Some have completely disappeared. Some are part-time dads. Some just send child support checks. But none are with the mom raising their kids together. So here's the deal white ladies. If you want to have a kid with a black man, know up front that the statistical chance of him sticking around is much lower than a white man.
I actually think that the Govt, Pharma, media, etc. that are pushing this "vaccine" are well-intentioned. I think they actually think they are doing the right thing and saving lives - in their minds. But I don't trust this new, untested, gene-therapy "vaccine". And if all those sheep want to line-up and be the lab rats for it, great. But I'm going to wait a few years (maybe many years) and see what happens to all the folks that took the jab. I have suspicions there will be long-term side-effects. And NO, I won't be giving it to my kids.

I wish I could login to my old Redacted and see when I first posted. But I think it was early 2016. Maybe March or April. So I guess I've been here for 5 years now. Wow. Time is never wasted when your MAGA wasted all the time.
I'm in Texas. We have no mask requirements in Texas from the govt. But a private business can still require them - and many do. I live in Comal County Texas which is very red (voted ~75% for Trump). My county is surrounded by blue counties though. Bexar County (San Antonio), Hays County (50/50) and just up the way is Travis County (Austin). But here in Comal County things are pretty good. I don't wear a mask anywhere. I go to the grocery store (HEB), post office, and many private businesses don't require them. Our county school district has a mask optional policy for the kids. Many kids where them, many don't. Texas is slowly trending blue however. I hope we can reverse that. But time will tell. The good thing is Texas is big and it will take a long time to change I think. If you're in a red/conservative area of the State it'll likely be that way for a long time to come. Just stay out of the big blue cities.
So I'm going to play devils advocate for a second. First let me state that I think this COVID thing is real in the sense that it is a virus and does exist, but I don't think it's as bad as we've been led to believe - and I absolutely think the reaction of the world is waaaaaaay over board. But the one thing I can't wrap my head around is this. My wife works at the local hospital and we absolutely did have a big surge in COVID patients back in February. It was real, my wife attested to it, the hospital got very crowded. So if COVID is just the flu than why did we have this big surge of really sick people at different times and locations throughout the world?

A lot of mask wearers in San Antonio area. But go out of the city into surrounding red counties and the mask's start to drop off. I don't wear one. However, if the place requires it - and I really need to get something there - I'll put it on. But I essentially don't patronize places that require it.
