I think it is foolish for anyone to not operate under the assumption that this entire site could already be a honeypot. Very very unlikely, but not impossible. Let's be real, the feds most certainly could have worked with reddit to cause everyone to move to a new site that they run exclusively, while benefitting reddit (from their perspective) by censoring us.
I'm not slinging mud or accusations at any of the mods, it's just something that is possible, and people need to keep that in mind when posting.

I am not the best with the net at times, and I have a question on this because this particular article touches on something that a left leaning friend and I have discussed in the past. I cannot just take this article and send him the URL and say "see!" because the article seems to be a bit thin our source info.
"A spokesperson said..." is viewed as bullshit by most of us on the right, and anyone on the left will jump at the chance to use that as a way out of facing facts. "It's rumor, there's no source" (which we all know generally means "I didn't see it on CNN").
So, my questions would be the following: Short path: Does anyone have links to other news sources carrying this info, something that a centrist/left-leaning individual might consider a bit more solid? Long path: What process should people use when trying to find the source of something such as this when the information is something that the main stream would like to suppress?

I don't have any evidence, so this is just speculation on my part (but, hey, that's enough for liberals, so what I'm saying must be true, right?), but when your computer/laptop/phone "sleeps", does it "dream"?
People have been lead to believe that it is some power saving mode, but I just have to question if there is more to labeling the mode "sleep mode" than people recognize.
When humans sleep, we are capable of being influenced to some degree, and, in some circumstances, information can be gained (sleep talking, etc.). Now, it doesn't matter to what degree people are affected by this, as it is only needed as an example, but... if your computer is in "sleep" mode, is it still capable of transmitting data if a backdoor is accessed? Can the minimal power mode allow for a very slow trickle of information over the net?
Again, I don't know what safeguards we have against such things, but considering that certain parts of the system are not completely off, I just have to wonder if there is some method by which computers are compromised in that manner.
