I'd recommend getting a parallel Bible. The one I use has the KJV, NASB, NIV and amplified side by side. Study Greek and Hebrew, as Hebrew and Greek work a little differently, so it helps to know and aleph from an alpha.

The bible really is a unique artifact from the ancient times.
The probabilities of the Bible accurately predicting it's own longevity are astronomical. The probabilities of the Bible predicting Geo-political alignments are astronomical. The probabalities of the Hebrew tradition giving rise to a story that would captivate billions of souls for centureis to come is astronimical.
GIven all these things, it is no surpirse to me that the Bible was diveinly inspired, crafted through the ages by forces unseen, to give us a reliable source of the salvation of Jesus Christ. and the end times events that would take place.

I believe we are coming to a place in time where WW2 is occurring again, only worse and with greater intensity. As prophesied in the bible, birth pangs of times of distress will come upon the world.
Christ has overcome this world though, and if we believe in Him and call on His name, we too will overcome anything in this world. Amen.
