I think there are people who switch from Trump vote to Biden for sure, I know 1 of them myself, but I don't consider the person to be an independent swing voter. Yes his vote changed, but he is full on TDS now and you can't be full on TDS and be an independent. He's a low information voter who voted on emotion for Trump and now votes on emotion against him just based on a couple stories he heard that aren't even true, he's told me specifically the kids in cages and a couple others and trying to correct his stance was pointless.

Never forget what that lady who left MSNBC just a month or two ago said. It's not popular around here, but I am an atheist. As a result, it's impossible to accept a lot of the left's current talking points because so many of them are not based on actual evidence, stats, research - but instead based on emotion. It's infuriating and one of the reasons I'm now here.

So, what you are saying is correct. A lot of people on the left may be intellectually smart, booksmart, or even high IQ maybe? I'm not sure on the IQ, but somehow despite their intelligence they have completely succumbed to manipulation and emotion.

You CANNOT say you are the side of science and facts, then support the ideas of systemic racism, blacks being targetted unfairly by society as a whole, transgenders as real women, non-binary even being feasible, protests not contributing to virus spread, Trump being responsible for 200k deaths, etc etc.

They live in group-think echo chambers and actively shut out and destroy contrary opinions and ways of thinking. Also, people who are more susceptible to group-think tend to be more emotionally weak, easily led, lost individuals. It's the same in any cult really and that's what it has become at this point, and why actual moderates and independents are fleeing. I'm one of them.
