I don't know if I'd call it a "loss of common sense," personally. There's conflicting evidence on the efficacy of masks, but the idea is pretty simple -- a (sufficiently) breathable material over your mouth and nose may help reduce the transmission of respiratory droplets, which carry COVID.
Maybe it helps. Maybe it doesn't. I wear a mask. No shame in that.
Remember that his desire for you to wear a mask is out of compassion for others. It comes from a good place. I'd say the best solution here, IMO, is to concede ground and wear a mask.
Either it does nothing or it helps. Worst case scenario, ya wore a piece of fabric for 20 minutes and kept your husband happy. No harm, no foul.
Right?
It's funny, too, as a gay man myself that Leftists have consistently been more interested in my sexuality -- particularly in using my sexuality as a political weapon -- than those on the right. Conservatives like Ben Shapiro have an attitude that goes, "It ain't my thing and I don't support it, but it's your life, your dealio, and I'm still gonna treat you like a human being." That's all I ask. The beauty of America is that I don't have to care what you do or think and you don't have to care what I do or think. We can each live our own lives.
Leftists insist I ought to care and that others ought to care and, frankly, why?
Most likely attributable to lesser access to healthcare based on socio-economic circumstances (e.g. poverty).
Possibly attributable to cultural vices (e.g. drinking alcohol, smoking cigarettes, and/or taking recreational drugs), inadequate nutrition (e.g. low-levels of vitamin D and zinc), and a lack of education (e.g. unknowingly failing to practice proper social distancing).
19 people?! That's most of the eligible voters who actually show up!
