My wife and I don't 100% agree on everything pertaining to this election, but we've been able to find common ground by working on how we communicate with each other. I was just telling my wife that if Joe Biden being a pedo became common knowledge the news would be listing off all the reasons that being a pedo is actually good for our country.
They aren't WSBN, so it makes sense.
God works in mysterious ways and he has many times throughout history allowed injustices and atrocities to happen, contrary to what we might think makes sense.
It is unwise to proclaim that "surely God would never allow X to happen!" God is sovereign, and He has a plan, but sometimes His plan involves allowing the wicked to prosper for a time, either to further His kingdom (because difficulty brings people to God), to judge a nation (and our nation has strayed FAR from God's principles), a combination of the two, and/or many other intertwined purposes.
I want temporal justice and comfort, but what I have gotten is temporal suffering. However, I have faith in ETERNAL justice and redemption!

I'm not sure how to operate as a Christian under an oppressive regime, but I guess I'll find out... I am not renouncing my faith. Suffering will separate the wheat from the chaff. I just need to learn how to be a better evangelist.

I'm going to go back to living my life, love and protect my wife, and seek the Lord. Hopefully this community survives long-term. I ran out of hopium a few days ago, but I am still wishing there are enough faithful leaders in the military that recognize how big this is and where we're headed, and who will take decisive action with or without Trump. My brain says no, but my heart says please. Impossible to know what is actually happening right now.
