I agree. But the energy of T_D was lightning in a bottle, it led to trump winning two presidential elections and the creation of the only worthwhile alternative to reddit. If I was a mod I'd be pretty stressed right now about makeing a major rule change and losing that energy.
Not saying they shouldn't, but change doesn't come easy, especially for conservatives.

Honest legal question, with the wording of the second amendment being "the right of the people to keep and bare arms shall not be infringed" is it possible that trying to repeal it would be unconstitutional?
As in would the second amendment automatically void any potential future amendments that repeal it?
How do people on the left not have a problem with that? Do they just trust the government won't come after the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th or the afore mentioned 13th amendments?
