You cant build your own CDN like CloudFlare, at least quickly and at low cost. What the IT pros running TD.win should be thinking about are several alternative plans in place if/when CloudFlare wokes out. For example.
- Have a plan in place with Akamai to use them as caching/WAF/DDOS proxy if CloudFlare Taps.
- Do the same with AWS CloudFront, Verizon, etc. Although I think if we got to this point, there would be some industry moratorium that would scare most of the smaller guys.
If I were responsible, I would also be concerned about the hosting provider, which I do not think is CloudFlare. It's common for non-PC sites to have their actual hosting provider dump em. For those new to the Content Delivery Network (CDN) concept, the CDN (CloudFlare) sits in front of the hosting provider to cache content, act as a WAF/DDOs, etc. I could do some digging and figure out where/how td.win is hosted but not at the moment.
TD.win is high use but seems to be a pretty simple tech stack. I bet the admins have several plans in place for when/if their CDN and/or hosting provider pull the plugs.
Thanks everyone. I was thinking Idaho. I used to live in CO and it's changed too much. My concern about ID is all the Californians moving in. SD is interesting. Very pretty and off the radar for the liberal tards who wish to escape the mess yet bring it with them.
Theres lots I don't like about Trump's personality but there are bright red lines for me. I cannot believe the response to these events by the Dem party, mayor's, etc. They are inviting it. It's unbelievable. Floyd's murder was heinous. His perpetrator is being tried. There is no point in these riots other than to destroy.
I am very emotional watching him talk
