Good article about the economic realities in California: https://unherd.com/2021/02/the-collapse-of-california/

Only part I take issue with is this: "President Biden recently suggested that he wants to “make America California again”. Yet before leaping on this particular train, he should consider whether the California model may be better seen as a cautionary tale than a roadmap to a better future in the digital age."

He gives Biden and other Dems too much credit here, California devolving into techno-feudalism is precisely the reason they view it as a model for the rest of the country.

Tell your state lawmakers you hope to see your state added to this list:

The public education complex is the enemy, and there is no reason not to drain them of funding.

"Any attempt to rein in Righty conspiracy theorists and make them actually useful will have to consider their actual interests and aptitudes. And they have them. Many of them are backbone-of-America types: they have jobs, have family lives, and are actively engaged in their communities in various ways. They turn out to events and meetings. They’re genuinely enthusiastic. They’re hard workers. They’re curious about the world and passionate to make a difference in it. They are genuinely interested in learning about things that aren’t immediately obvious. It’s just that they learn them from random YouTube videos because they don’t know how to use PACER to find court records, or how to file FOIA applications to get government documents, or how to look up Form 990s to learn about how nonprofits are organized and funded.

…but what if they did know those things?"

If you're white, welcome to your new life as a second-class citizen. It does not matter that we still represent a clear majority of the current population, people in and around government hate you so much that they're looking for excuses to let you die.

Note that this is happening under the government of Donald Trump; does he realize who voted for him? For all the good he did and may still do, even Trump could not bring himself to mention "white people" in even a neutral context, instead going on endlessly about Black and Hispanic unemployment. How much worse will this get under a potential Biden admin?

Also, is anyone else really curious about the early life history of some of the experts, Marc Lipsitch and Elise Gould, mentioned in the article pushing to deny elderly whites access to the vaccine?

Enough with pushing only "school choice"; I won't be confident we're really winning until conservative politicians and pundits are identifying teachers and school admins as Enemies of the People and acting accordingly

Sharing this quote, which is just like really sad, for no particular reason:

These sentiments have also energized far-right groups that have found greater empowerment under this regime. Right wing organizations have escalated their harassment, from trolling book events to threatening the lives of individual professors who have been critical of the regime. There have been dozens of reported cases around the country, following the prominent cases of scholars such as Debora Diniz, and Marcia Tiburi, who have had to leave the country amidst threats of death and sexual violence. In 2019 Brazil earned the dubious distinction of being, for the first time, one of the countries named in the Scholars at Risk, Free To Think Report of 2019.

Leave a reasonable comment detailing why you do not support government agencies and contractors pushing this divisive, anti white pseudoscience.
