Where's the option for, "Human life does not inherent value simply by virtue of its' existence"?
40 years ago, Reagan trailed Carter by 8% in the polls. This is how it turned out on Election Day.

There are people who will say that anyone who allows themselves to be influenced by "celebrities" is an idiot, and perhaps there's some truth to that, but the truth behind celebrity endorsements is more sinister than that.
The human mind subconsciously attributes greater weight to statements made by people that the person considers to be an authority. The problem is the subconscious doesn't distinguish between types of authority. It will tell you should listen to a doctor when he tells you what kind of car you should buy, for example, even though his expertise is in an entirely unrelated field. Actors, however, often play authoritative roles on the screen, and while your conscious mind is well aware that, for example, Patrick Stewart is no ship captain, your subconscious mind still sees him in a position of authority, and when he tells you that Trump is the antichrist, even Trump supporters attach more weight to that statement, if only to address and mock it when they would otherwise ignore it.
