No, I read the article and it didn’t mention any of that. But I also watched some clips of the house vote and republicans bitching about the increase in stimulus checks. Plus he didn’t pull this the first time it went through the senate. Didn’t seem to care about reading the 5K page bill then or all the pointless spending in other countries. But no you’re right, they should just not give Americans any of their tax money back when they actually need it so the dollar’s value is intact when other countries spend it.

Right now 230 gives social media sites the protection of a platform with the power of a publisher. Take it away and it means they have to choose one or the other and live with that choice. Publisher means they have the power to control the content and can face the lawsuits but platform means you or I could be sued for our posts not them. And they can’t put warnings or fact checks on posts. Personally I prefer repeal 230 or creation of an internet bill of rights giving us power to fight back against social media’s censorship and ability to unperson someone ie Alex Jones.

I was born and live in Chucktown SC, and down here that flag does not represent racism. That’s a yankee POV. One of the people(C. Pinckney) murdered by Dylan roof in that church a few yrs ago was a member of our local government, state senator, and he didn’t want that flag removed from our state capitol but niki haley(fuck her) did it because of outside pressure from other states, media, etc. not because of South Carolinians. Look I get it because we don’t have an honest media and they will use it as “proof” that GEOTUS is racist and his supporters are a bunch of white supremacists, but personally I feel if anybody wants to bring it then let them.
