Look at how many people the soviets starved due to their land grabs. (HOLODOMOR) It's never some robin hood type scenario where the poor are empowered at the expense of the rich. Instead everyone suffers and commie insiders and their families are the only ones who prosper, just like any other plutocracy but with much more killings, and starvation. Also you are never going to get rid of homelessness, drug addiction and unemployment no matter what kind of government you have. They're problems you work against but they will still exist and anyone that tells you differently has the wool over your eyes. And no the middle class has it's roots in Life, liberty and property, without these three individual rights you can't have prosperity. Capitalist Republican democracy is a more advanced and effective form of government, quite objectively. It mirrors the ideal life cycle of any organism, basically it's based off constant expansion and rewards innovation and creativity with the profit motive.
